Swim Meet Basics
Woods of Parkview will participate in 5 to 6 dual meets held on Thursday evenings 6 p.m-9:30., with our first meet on May 28th. Our first meet will be a “practice/intersquad meet” that will be held at our pool. While we will not have a team to compete against, this is a great way for our coaches to get to know our swimmers, and a time for our volunteers and swimmers to learn/review how a meet is run. At an average WOP meet there are:
200+ swimmers ages 4-18
80+ parent volunteers
400+ spectators
82 events swum
3-4 hours of exciting swimming
PARKING
Parking: For meets at WOP, Parking is only available on one side of the street throughout the neighborhood. This ensures that traffic flows smoothly and that emergency vehicles have unobstructed access given an emergency. During meets, please abide by the NO PARKING signs and park only on roads, not grass.
