The Parkview Poolcats swim team was established in 1986, and we compete in the summer Gwinnett County Swim League. The Gwinnett County Swim League is a competitive summer swimming program with 45 teams representing approximately 6500 athletes, ages 4- 18.
Our NEW JUNIOR POOLCAT program welcomes eger swimmers ages 4+ who are not yet able to swim the length of the pool without a coach in the water. The Parkview Poolcats are a mid-size team, with just under 100 members in 2025, that welcomes swimmers of all skill levels.
Summer swim team is a unique experience that is truly a family sport. Siblings ages 4-18 can be part of the same team, and parent volunteers are an essential part (and requirement) of each swim meet.
The swim season runs from early May through early July. The Poolcats offer a variety of fun and exciting events throughout the season, including: Fun Fridays, Beast of the Meet, Optional Stroke Clinics, Ribbons, Heat Winner Prizes, and More! There are 5 weekly meets during the season against other teams in Gwinnett County. There is also a County Championship swim meet July 11-13 2026, for the top 50 county qualifiers in each event, which is held at the 1996 Olympic pool at Georgia Tech.
You can join our summer swim team for very reasonable rates. You do not need to be a member of the Woods of Parkview Swim/Tennis Club to participate on the team, but families who join as annual members do receive a discount on swim team registration fees (more info on annual membership).
