County meet information
Hey Poolcat Parents!
The county meet is almost here! I know this is a long email and contains a lot of information, but please read it all the way to the end. Below are a few important reminders and some helpful information as we get ready for the biggest meet of the season.
Volunteers
Thank you to everyone who has already signed up to volunteer! The county meet requires every team to provide volunteers, and I need to submit our volunteer roster and assignments to the league ahead of the meet.
If you haven't signed up yet, please take a few minutes to do so. We were fortunate to draw some really great volunteer positions this year. Most of our assignments are on deck, which means you'll have a front-row view of your swimmer while you're volunteering.
I'd much rather have everyone choose a job and shift that works best for their schedule than have to assign volunteers to fill the remaining spots. Please help us get the schedule finalized by signing up as soon as you can.
You'll find the volunteer signup link, volunteer requirements, and job descriptions at the bottom of this email. Once you sign up, please click on the County Volunteer Waiver and fill out the form.
Georgia Tech Security & Parking
Georgia Tech has implemented new security procedures this year.
- All spectators will be required to pass through metal detectors.
- A clear bag policy will be enforced for all spectators. (This does not apply to swimmers or coaches.)
- No coolers will be allowed under any circumstances.
- There will be no pre-sold parking this year.
- Parking will be pay-per-session in either the parking deck next to the natatorium or the parking deck a short walk down the street.
Please allow yourself a little extra time to park and get through security.
Heat Sheet Pre-Orders
Heat sheets are the commemorative meet programs and include team ads and Senior Recognition.
- Pre-order price: $12
- Orders close Monday, July 6
- On-site price: $15 (cash only)
- One heat sheet covers all sessions.
Only a limited number will be available for purchase at the meet, so pre-ordering is recommended.
Please note that swimmers do not need to purchase a heat sheet. Coaches will have copies to help direct swimmers to their events, and events will also be displayed on the scoreboard.
Good Luck Ducks
Want to surprise your swimmer with a Good Luck Duck?
For a minimum $5 donation, you can purchase a duck that will be delivered during the county meet. All proceeds benefit Swim Across America and pediatric cancer research at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta.
Orders must be placed by Wednesday, July 8 at noon. A limited number will also be available for purchase at the meet.
River Oak Photography
River Oak Photography will once again be at the county meet taking professional action photos.
You can:
- Reserve specific events ahead of time.
- Receive full-resolution digital images by email.
- Receive a print release with your photos.
You can reserve online or sign up at their table in the main concourse during the meet.

2026 County Heat Sheet PREORDER Link
S1 (15-18) Security/Ushers In 2025, we will NOT be responsible for crowd control and to assist spectators find their seats. We will be set up in various areas around the pool deck to ensure parents are not on-deck, to help get items from parents to their swimmers if something is forgotten, and to assist some of the younger swimmers getting out of the pool. (Pool entrance, Staging area, Pool Deck , Warm-up Area, Photo Area, Hospitality, etc) 4:30 PM PSST PARK S1 (15-18) Staging-1-Bleacher You will be responsible for lining up and checking in the swimmers and escorting them to the starting area of the pool. Staging is located on the Pool Deck 4:45 PM EDM PARK S1 (15-18) Timers Timers are to provide their own stopwatch (obtain from your team). You will be assigned a lane or the position of back-up timer. You will provide the stopwatch times for each event. You will be working at the start end of the pool. 4:45 PM LLST PARK S2 (9-10) Staging-1-Bleacher You will be responsible for lining up and checking in the swimmers and escorting them to the starting area of the pool. Staging is located on the Pool Deck 8:30 AM CE PARK S3 (13-14) Security/Ushers In 2025, we will NOT be responsible for crowd control and to assist spectators find their seats. You will be working at the start end of the pool. 2:30 PM RAYS PARK S4 (8U) Staging - Relay Only You will be responsible for assisting with staging during relays only 8:30 AM WAT PARK Kristen Clayton S4 (8U) Timers Timers are to provide their own stopwatch (obtain from your team). You will be assigned a lane or the position of back-up timer. You will provide the stopwatch times for each event. You will be working at the start end of the pool. 8:30 AM RPRT PARK S5 (11-12) Heat Sheets You will be responsible for selling Heat Sheets and providing information and directions to the spectators. 2:00 PM MR PARK S5 (11-12) Staging-1-Bleacher You will be responsible for lining up and checking in the swimmers and escorting them to the starting area of the pool. Staging is located on the Pool Deck 2:30 PM HW PARK
